100% Organic Cotton
Organic cotton is better for the soil, the farmers and their families because of the damage that can be caused by chemicals used in conventional cotton production. Compared to conventional or generic fibre this organic cotton uses 91% less water, 61% less energy and 46% less CO2 to produced.
The dyes Thinking Mu uses for their prints do not dry rivers or lands. They are natural, eco-friendly and low-impact. All of their prints are digital, water-based and biodegradable.
This garment was cut and sewn in India. The factory Thinking Mu works with is independently certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), a high level certification which independently certifies working conditions and environmental management.
Where Thinking Mu can improve?
GOTS wages policy currently only requires that factories pay the legal minimum wage. We would like to see Thinking Mu make steps towards implementing a living wage through their supply chain.
