The Level Collective was founded in 2014 by British designer Mark Musgrave.Mark was struck after watching a number of exposé documentaries including The True Cost - which shows the mistreatment of garment workers and abuse of the environment in the fashion industry. (It’s worth a watch, available on Netflix!) This triggered Mark asking questions about where his clothes were made.
Meanwhile he travelled to Romania to volunteer at a charity training people to hand make knitted products, which were then sold to provide living wages. He saw the tangible difference this was making to the everyday lives of these families and knew he had to start something.
As a brand The Level Collective aim to *Live Level -* to pursue a balanced life. They love to explore nature and to travel. They believe in a purposeful vocation - investing their time and energy into meaningful toil. It’s these ideas we see infusing their designs and brand.
